The Pilgrim

The Pilgrim is an action/drama/thriller set in New Zealand. It follows a young idealistic SAS Captain dealing with the recent and suspicious tragic death of his father, a retired military officer, all while undergoing an official military judicial review as to the calibre of his conduct in an incident whilst serving in Afghanistan.

David StrongDavid Strong

David  retired from the New Zealand Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2006 and is currently a senior consultant at Maven International, a business improvement consultancy in Wellington, where he specialises in strategic planning and organisational review. During his Army days he was tank commander, a reconnaissance squadron leader, a future strategist, and the Director of the Defence Command and Staff College. He served operationally in the Middle East, Bosnia and East Timor, and was twice awarded the United Nations Commendation for Service to Peace. He has two Masters Degrees in Arts (Kings College UK and University of Waikato), and also studied English Literature at the University of New South Wales.  In 2006 David worked as a Military Advisor on The Waterhorse, a film set in the Second World War.  David lives near the beach in Island Bay with Wanda and their three children. He enjoys surfing, snowboarding, golf, soccer, writing and life.
